Industrial Lodz. Unique photos at the exhibition at the Scheibler's Factory. The photo exhibition of Paweł Augustyniak Industrialna Lodz was opened at Cafe Loft. In the past few years the photographer has visited inaccessible, historic factories and power plants.
The photographs have not been previously presented in public space. - They were created in order to save places from oblivion - says Paweł Augustyniak. - I spent many hours in closed factories, I almost heard the rattles of machines and conversations of worried, hard-working people - the photographer adds.
The pictures include Uniontex Factory, which was born after joining the factories of cotton and textile magnets - Scheibler and Grohman, Karol Scheibler's factory power plant consisting of two huge halls: engine room and boiler room, with Art Nouveau lines on the facades, original tiles on the walls and floor, and geometric stained glass in huge windows, the Lodz Polmos Spirits Works, the knitted products factory of Adolf Kebsz, the Jarociński Factory, EC1 - the oldest power plant in Lodz and EC2.
